AP Statistics follows the College Board's Fall 2026 five-unit framework: exploring one-variable data and collecting data, probability and random variables, inference for categorical data (proportions), inference for quantitative data (means), and regression analysis. Students build the same formulate-collect-analyze-interpret practices used throughout the course, preparing for the AP Statistics Exam and a college-level introduction to statistics. Inference for Categorical Data: Proportions
How much can a sample proportion tell us about the true population proportion, and how do we test a claim about it rigorously?
Inference for Quantitative Data: Means
How does inference change when we must estimate variability from the sample itself, instead of knowing it in advance?
Regression Analysis
How can we use one variable to predict another, and how do we know when to trust that prediction?
